Peer Power Scholarship Policy

Peer Power 2026 Scholarship Policy

Purpose

The Peer Power Scholarship Program exists to reduce financial barriers that may prevent Certified Recovery Peer Specialists and peer support professionals from participating in Peer Power 2026. Scholarships are intended to expand access to professional development, networking, wellness activities, and recovery-capital-building opportunities for peers across Florida.

Scholarship Assistance

Subject to available funding, scholarships may provide assistance with hotel lodging during the retreat. Scholarship awards are based on available funding and are not guaranteed.

Registration fees, travel expenses, meals outside of the conference agenda, parking and incidental expenses are the responsibility of the participant unless otherwise specified.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Be a Florida resident.

  • Be a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS), peer support professional, peer supervisor, or actively pursuing peer certification.

  • Register for Peer Power 2026.

  • Commit to attending all scheduled conference sessions.

  • Complete the scholarship application by the published deadline.

Priority Consideration

When funding is limited, priority may be given to applicants who:

  • Live or work in rural or underserved communities.

  • Work for organizations with limited professional development resources.

  • Have not previously received a Peer Power scholarship.

  • Demonstrate that financial assistance would enable their attendance.

Award Conditions

Recipients agree to:

  • Attend the full retreat.

  • Participate in conference evaluations.

  • Notify Zero Hour Life Center if they are unable to attend.

  • Cancel hotel reservations promptly if they can no longer participate.

Failure to attend without prior notification may affect eligibility for future scholarship opportunities.

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by a Scholarship Review Committee using a standardized scoring tool. Applications will be evaluated without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.

Scholarship awards will be based on available funding and application scores.
